Pain and psychology
pain and pleasure are separated by a fine line. The sensation of pressure and heat and cold are meant to be inputs for information just as our eyes ears nose and sense of taste. On a survival level "input devices" are important in keeping us safe and allowing us to explore our surroundings. These sense are worthless without the mind.
The word pain is truly a subjective term. For some people pain is pleasure.
This is a very natural sentiment. Its all just sensation and input For

and cultural norms. a baby learns to cry from The way they are treated
and rewarded For The behavior.notice that in different cultures we relate
to pain in much different ways(Americans and Europeans are big babies
when in comparison to The other cultures of The worlds landscape).Also
think of The ferel children stories. These are long studies On children
reared without The luxury of parents to teach them, without society rules
being taught to them they help to unravel The mystery of nuture Vs nature.
Most of These stories show that These children grow without learning how
to react in a normal sense to pain or heat or cold due to their unique
environments. These are studies I suggest looking up and reading if you
have any interest in psychology.
Humans as all animals learn from trial and error and a reward and consequence theory. Even Our biology may be trained with The same theories. Take For instance The psychological study of Pavlov's dog. He rang a bell every time He fed his dog. eventually He noticed The dog salivated when The bell was rang weather He fed him at that time or not. The bell caused a biological function in The dog because The mind of The dog associated The bell with food. For some pain causes a similar biological function of sexual or mental arousal.
For survival purposes when a person is subjected to pain his endorphin level is raised giving him a drug like euphoria a natural high. The greater The pain The greater The endorphin rush. Fear is .Also something that contributes to The heightening of The endorphin levels. These endorphins make For a very intense experience making you more and more tolerance of pain that doesn't literally kill you. This is .Also For your survival purposes. We wouldn't be able to touch anything or Even learn to walk without The fact that Our tolerance to pain is learned. What we call pain in comparison to pleasure is sensation mixed with Fear, and The unknown is Fear Your body doesn't know anything your mind must learn something and sometimes that takes experiencing something many times For your mind to finally accept is as true and unchanging. The mind is very complex. This is a very deep subject.
Pain can be used as a tool to raise The endorphin levels but it is .Also a mental tool. For some pain can help create a mindset. For many it is an important part of getting into a submissive state of mind helping them to enter a mindspace they once knew or they fantasize about. Much of Our sexual behavior and taboo fantasies are plant their seeds in Our past experiences and childhood environment.
